V International Materials Symposium MATERIAIS 2009 (XIV meeting of SPM – Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais), 5-8 April ,Lisbon

RECENT ADVANCES IN CHARACTERIZATION, PROCESSING, DESIGN AND MODELLING OF STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS

The V International Materials Symposium MATERIAIS 2009 (XIV meeting of SPM – Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais) will take place from the 5th to the 8th of April 2009, at the Alameda campus of Instituto Superior Técnico, Technical University of Lisbon.
This conference is a forum for presentation and discussion of high quality contributions and innovations across the entire spectrum of Materials Science and Engineering. There will be oral presentations and poster sessions, organized according to the Topics. In a joint Exhibition, industrial companies, commercial branches, research organizations and publishing houses can present their products.

The biennial meetings of SPM were initiated in 1983 (at LNEC, in Lisbon) and have been held regularly since then. In 2001 (at the University of Coimbra), these meetings became a well recognized (biennial) international conference and English was adopted as the official language of the symposia.
