Experimental Solid State Physics Postdoctoral Researcher
National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado is the nation’s primary laboratory for research, development and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL’s Materials Science Group has an immediate opening for a full time (40 hours per week) Postdoctoral Researcher.
The candidate will work with a strong experimental research group conducting fundamental studies in the area of electronic properties of semiconductors and heterostructures. The group is engaged in several research projects that include studies on impurity band formation in dilute nitride alloys, probing optical properties on a nano-scale using ultra-fast optical techniques, and magneto-transport in 2-DEG’s. The research will have a strong bearing on ongoing collaborative research efforts with NREL’s National Center for Photovoltaics.
Must be a recent Ph.D. graduate with in the last three year.
Ph.D. in physics. Candidates must have a strong background in experimental solid state physics.
Experience with magneto-transport studies, ultra-fast techniques or with optical spectroscopy.
