1st Nanomedicine Award 2013
The 1st Nanomedicine Award aims to reward European projects that have developed innovative solutions based on nanomedicine that can ultimately change the way diseases are treated or diagnosed and that could provide new tools for physicians and large benefits to patients.
Open to companies, academic and private researchers from European and non-European countries, the Nanomedicine Award aims to honor the best international nanomedicine innovations. Proposals will be evaluated in two areas: Concept/preclinical Award and a Clinical Award for application in nanotherapeutics or regenerative medicine.
Award review board
All applications will be reviewed and assessed by a panel of highly-qualified pharma industry specialists with experience in R&D and commercial roles. The reviewers are:

Karen Zinkevich-Peotti – Senior Vice President of Global R&D, Ipsen
Thorsten Melcher – New Ventures and Partnerships @ California Innovation Center, Johnson & Johnson Innovation
The Organizers and the Award Ceremony
The European Technology Platform for Nanomedicine (ETPN) together with an EU funded consortium named Nanomed2020 are organizing the first Nanomedicine Award. Further information can be found here and on the ETPN website: http://www.etp-nanomedicine.eu
The Nanomedicine Award is supported by EBD Group and the award ceremony will take place during BioEurope 2013. The 19th annual BIO-Europe® event will be the largest biotechnology partnering conference held in Europe. Over 3,000 global decision makers from biotechnology, pharma and finance, representing upwards of 1,700 companies from over 50 countries, annually attend BIO-Europe to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic relationships.
